Accounting 1 is an introductory college-level accounting course. In Accounting 1, students learn the basics of the accounting cycle, accounting for a service business organized as a proprietorship, and accounting for a merchandising business organized as a corporation.

Curriculum: The curriculum follows Century 21 Accounting: General Journal (Gilbertson, Lehman, and Harmon-Gentene). Students will be provided access to the on-line textbook and other on-line resources at the beginning of the school year.
Homework: Students are expected to read the textbook prior to each lesson and complete the assigned activities and questions. The teacher will provide homework assignments for each chapter prior to beginning the chapter.
