Digital Electronics

Digital Electronics (DE) is a specialization course of the High School Curriculum of Project Lead The Way.  In DE, students learn about 555 timers, combinational logic (AND-OR-INVERT) and sequential logic (asynchronous and synchronous counters).  Specific projects include assembling a board game counter from a kit, programming combinational and sequential logic circuits on a field programmable gated array, and programming BOE-Bots.

Curriculum:  A student version of the curriculum is available in the myPLTW Courses website.  Students will be provided with user ids and passwords in class.

Homework:  Homework assignments are listed in the myPLTW Courses website.

Software:  MultiSIM will be installed on all student laptops.

College Credit:  Students that score 85% or greater in the class and exceed the minimum raw score on the End of Course exam are eligible for college credit.  Students will be given additional information after they take the End of Course exam in May.
