21st Century Classrooms
The Forest City Regional School District’s Technology Department employs and maintains approximately 575 workstations and 18 servers. The computers consist of various models of industry standard equipment from leading manufacturers including Dell, HP, and Lenovo.
The Technology Department maintains four stationary (room) and eight mobile computer labs throughout the District. The mobile labs consist of 25-30 laptop or iPads which are housed in a security cart. Each library in the District also contains 12 to 14 workstations for students to use as well as a SmartBoard and LCD projector. Each traditional classroom lab includes 26 to 30 workstations with a SmartBoard, LCD projector, and laser printer for instructional use.
In addition to computers, the Technology Department also maintains Promethean Boards and projectors in the individual Classrooms.
