Principles of Engineering (POE) is the second foundation course of the High School Curriculum of Project Lead The Way.  In POE, students use engineering and scientific concepts to solve engineering design problems.  The four areas of study are Energy and Power, Materials and Structures, Control Systems, and Statistics and Kinematics.

Curriculum

A student version of the curriculum is available in the myPLTW Courses website.  Students will be provided with user ids and passwords in class.

Homework

Homework assignments are listed in the myPLTW Courses website.

Software

All course specific software is loaded on classroom workstations.  Examples of course specific software includes RobotC for VEX Cortex.

College Credit

Students that score 85% or greater in the class and exceed the minimum raw score on the End of Course exam are eligible for college credit.  Students will be given additional information after they take the End of Course exam in May.
